Why the Indians are the best team in Baseball

The Cleveland Indians are the best team in all of baseball for several reasons. 

    First off the cornerstone of any truly good team is pitching. With C.C. Sabathia and Fausto Carmona as our respective numbers one and two we are off to  a good start, not to mention Jake Westbrook and Paul Byrd neither of whom are anything to sneeze at. 

    Secondly we are an actual team.  We don’t have much in the way of huge egos or huge salaries what we do have is a lot of players willing to play small ball and sacrifice their own stats to help the team.  That being said those same players can make the big plays when necessary, and there is always someone  who will step up.  Tonight it was Paul Byrd along with Johnny Peralta and Casey Blake who gave us a big boost.

     Thirdly we are defensively amazing; our outfield is easily the fastest in the A.L. with Lofton Sizemore and Gutierrez; Blake, Cabrera and Garko are amazing in the infield and Peralta isn’t bad (although hes here more for his bat); and Kelly Shoppach will pick you off everytime you try to steal.

    After that you have the offensive side of the ball.  With the second most productive 3-4-5 combo in baseball a lead off man with more than 20 homers number 7 with the most stolen bases in post season history and an on base percentage of nearly .400 there is no easy part of the line up.

    Finally we are always underrated against good teams.  No one thought we would beat the Yankees and NO ONE thought we could beat the Red Sox but we did beat the Yankees and we have won 3 straight against the Sox.  No one ever mentioned that we have the best regular season record in baseball.  All you ever hear about is our youth and inexperience, that is, until we start winning a series and then all of a sudden everyone new all along that this was a great young team that could go all the way. 

    Now I’m just waiting for us to close out the series and the predictions of how the Rockies are going to trounce us in the World Series to come pouring out.  It will actually be a comfort if they slate us as the underdogs because up to this point they have yet to be right about this team and when they start predicting us to win is when I will get worried.

Why I Hate The MegaBus

I hate the megabus because they book every single seat on the megabus. I hate the megabus because I can not sleep in a vehicle that shakes as if it has hit a land mine every 5 minutes.  I hate the megabus because my laptop dies on the megabus with half an hour left in 300.  And last but not least I hate the megabus because it is an hour and a half late to arrive in Chicago because for some reason they did not account for the fact that they were leaving Cleveland in the middle of rush hour and heading towards the suburbs.  Also I will still be taking the megabus in the future because it is dirt cheap.

Insomnia

I am on the worlds most ridiculous sleep schedule.  It is 337 in the morning and what am I doing?  I am doing my tumblr and reading up on my beloved and (soon to be) world champion Cleveland Indians.  You might ask why I am doing this and the answer is, I can’t sleep and there is nothing else to do at 338 in the morning. Also I can’t wait to go home this weekend.

Halo 3

Halo 3 came out this week and I wish that I had the money to go out and get a copy.  I’ve played a little bit on other peoples games but I don’t have the cash to go out and get one of my own right now.  Halo 3 was basically the reason to get an Xbox 360.  Just one more reason I need a job.

The Paper

I put of the writing of my rough draft of the paper until the night before it  is due and I still have no idea what to write about.  It is supposed to be something that is not intrinsically interesting but made interesting by our writing.  The problem with this is that I can’t think of anything at the moment that fits both categories.  Also my stomach hurts, whether it’s from the 24 ounce monster I just slammed in an attempt to get enough caffeine in my system to stay awake long enough to actually do this or the inordinate amount of free chipotle I had today I can’t say.
